Said another mom to me at the park today. She asked when I was due and I said tomorrow. She looked shocked and said," wow! You're brave. I can't imagine being out of the house so close to my due date."
What am I supposed to do...sit around the house all day waiting for this kid to make an appearance? With a 3 year old? Nope. So much easier on my sanity to just sit at the park while DS plays in the wading pool.
Re: Wow you're brave!
Wow, how are you almost ready to have that baby?!?! Time flies.
I had a maternity formal gown & heels bought AND booked a hair & make-up appointment on my due date to attend the Cars 2 movie premiere. Too bad N decided to come 4 days early.
People are so weird. It's not like baby is for sure going to come on your EDD. How do people not know this?

Yeah that was pretty much what I did until I really started getting uncomfortable. Clients would worry as I took a leash attached to a very large dog. My co-workers would joke that I should go on leave already. Like come on now...I can still walk lol.

After you have the baby, they say the same thing when you have two with you, because apparently it takes courage to leave the house with more than one kid? Or "looks like you've got your hands full". Thanks stranger, helpful. Yay for due dates though and new squishy baby soon!
A few weeks ago I ran into an old friend at a party and she goes "Wow youve got balls, I refused to be seen in public when I was that pregnant."
Um... thank you?
slip in slide. I'm dying
I think people these days expect moms to get induced the second they're late...At least that's what a lot of people think in my area.
If only
And yes, my babies seem to get good and comfy in my ute. I always enjoyed when people asked when I was due and I told them last week. It was like a foreign concept to most people.
When I didn't want to deal with the conversation I would just say "any time now". I swear, people lose their brains around pregnant women.
