An ounce is an ounce, right?

Totally random post, but I realized that ounces don't translate the same between the different bottles I use.
I use the Medela bottles for portioning out BM in the fridge, but when I transfer to the Playtex bottle for feeding it shows as less than I measured.
I also have a separate container for measuring out water for formula supplementation and when I transfer it it measures differently yet again.
Anyone else notice discrepancies like this?

Yup. I store in Medela, but feed in LifeFactory bottles, and I've noticed they aren't exactly the same by the marking measurements.

Maybe because 1 us fluid oz= 1.0408 uk fluid oz? Not sure if different companies use one vs the other.

Yep. I pump into Medela bottles and store in Lansinoh bags, and the measurements are always different.

I find this too. I've been using one vessel to measure a 2oz storage tube and if I freeze in bags or feed in a bottle, I know he's getting the same from that one measurement.
