If he vomits up the water or vomits on an empty stomach he should be seen by a vet.

If the diarrhea returns when you add his food back in, at least check a fecal.

If there is blood in the stool see a vet.

Sometimes dogs can get pancreatitis from fatty foods and get very sick. Some breeds like schnauzers are more susceptible. If vomiting worsens even when not feeding him, his stomach is painful, and or pale gums he should be seen by a vet ASAP.

That being said often times are doggy friends overindulge have a tummy ache, some diarrhea and feel better on their own after a bland diet.

Good luck I hope you don't have anymore diarrhea messes!
