Tell me im not the only one...

Hey ladies! I am about 17 weeks and 3 days, and over the last week or so I have been having flicks and flutters and feeling the baby move here and there...but today, I haven't really felt anything. Tell me this has happened to you before please? Im sure its nothing to worry about, but I cant help but notice it and let my mind wonder...

It's not anything to worry about. Movement doesn't get more consistent til later months.

Flutters at 17 weeks or so come and go and the baby is totally fine.  Soon it will be close to an all day circus in there.

17 weeks is still really early, I didn't even start feeling the tiny flutters until 19 almost 20 weeks.

It is normal... in a few more weeks it will be like a Baby Zumba Party in your belly.

At this stage its completely normal. You don't have to worry about regular, predictable movement until 3rd trimester.

I first felt flutters around 18wks and didn't feel movement consistently (a few times a day) until 25wks.

This. I am almost 25 weeks and it can still be pretty much hit or miss these days. With DS1 I felt first movement once at 18 weeks then literally nothing until 22 weeks.

I'm in the same boat! I will feel what I'm fairly certain is movement and then nothing for a day or two. I makes me wonder if its still gas!! I'm 21w 4d, and a FTM, so from everything I've read in books and from what other people have posted I think it's normal!!

By the way, I can't help but notice our screen names are REALLY similar. Your birthday isn't Sep 13th by any chance, is it??

This is normal especially for as early as you are. Also the baby goes through days of growth and on those days your LO will be sleeping more and moving less.

:) From 16.5 weeks until 18 weeks I felt inconsistent thumps and flutters...but from 18weeks to today I have felt a little thump/bump every day.  At night now, when I am resting my husband has been able to feel movements a few times too.  :) So, in the early stages of movement it's normal to feel it and then not feel it. :) Soon enough it will get regular ;)
God gave me a double portion for my inheritance with my little Mighty men :) 9/19/10 Baby A born at 1:47 am 6lbs 14oz, 20.5inches long. Baby B born at 3:20 am 6lbs 6oz, 19.5inches long. My double blessing!:)
