For mobile: POLL: How many have kids currently in elementary school?

When I say Elementary school, I mean Kindergarten through 5th grade.

    Random side note- elementary school is up to grade 6 here!  My daughters school is K-6 (public).

    I have a first grader, but she only has 13 days left.  So almost a second grader, eek.

    In Chicago, most public elementary schools go up to 8th grade. 

    DS1 is starting kindergarten in the fall. 

    DS1 - Feb 2008

    DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)

    DS#1 just finished Kindergarten.  Next Fall he will be repeating Kindergarten and DS#2 will be in Pre-K, which is at the local elementary school.

    Interesting! Do you guys not have middle school/junior high there? You go right from elementary to high?  Here we are elementary (k-6), middle school (7+8th) and high school (9-12).

    I believe we do have a few private schools and magnet schools like that (k-8) but your "normal" public schools aren't.  Interesting how they vary across the country :)
