So DH and I are planning to head on a vacation Sept/October. We feel like there will be less kids, and we can escape the not-so-nice weather here. Preferably something warm...
Suggestions from YOUR favorite trips that you've taken...GO!!!
We went to wine country in CA a couple years ago, very nice weather, and then we spent a day in San Francisco before we came home. It was a lovely vacation.

My husband and I went to Sandals Grand St. Lucia for our honeymoon and loved it. It was expensive though.
We also have been to the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana. They have a club side that is for adults only if you want to get away from children. This resort was nice and fairly reasonable. We booked through Apple Vacations.

I'm from New Englad and love it up here in Sept/Oct, but it's not so warm! My fav vacations have included the outter banks, DC (love the museums) upstate NY and Penn for wine tasting, I would love to check out Gettysburg.
We don't get to go on many vacations since we both travel so much for work -- and usually are vacays are tacked on to a work trip for one of us. Being in Alabama we are close to Gulf Shores/Destin, which we love. We also love New Orleans and Vegas. We LOVED Boston but probably not the weather you were looking for.

Ah this sounds amazing, I want to do this someday but it isn't in the cards this year.
I would recommend a cruise if you want to relax a lot. It is nice to not have to worry about food, travel, or room and board.
I would also say try the white mountains that time of year, they are beautiful in Oct. But I was born and raised in NH I might be biased. Let us know where you go!

Last summer we did a cruise to Alaska with his while fam. It was awesome and so much fun. It was great being able to be lazy and have the boat do all the work for us.
Another all time favorite is Cabo San Lucas. We've been twice together and H has gone many more times. It's always fun and sunny. Mexico is always a good choice.

Don't know where you are coming FROM but we love Florida. We go to St. George Island every year and my parents will be down there for the month (yes, you heard me right) of October. It's still warm there then. ETA: It's a very quiet, private island with not much around or to do. No hotels - all houses/condos.
Also, I love the Tampa area (the beaches) like Clearwater, St. Pete, etc. They will definitely still be warm then as well.
I have LOVED Sandals Grande in Antigua. Its an amazingly beautiful place with excellent service. We splurged and got the room with a butler. A once in a lifetime trip. I also LOVE charleston, SC. I love that it is city, beach, and history all rolled into one package.
We always go to the Gulf Coast. Usually we stay in Destin, Fl but this last time we went to Orange Beach, Al& loved it. It's just so laid back & relaxing.
For a more fun vacation, we love going to Disney World.

Re: Your Favorite Vacation Spots
Hey Soulmate!
If you want a big ticket vacation, I recommend Hawaii. Everyday is perfect! The beaches are stunning!
