Pregnancy Ticker

Re: ~*~ Grad Check-In ~*~

  • Hi girls! (((Hugs))) to anyone who needs them today! This is a XP from what I posted on my BMB: I had my first u/s today and I guess it went pretty well for being this early on, just not exactly what I expected. I had looked up images of exactly what I expected. I had looked up images of what it should look like at this point and on my u/s I didn't quite see as much as I thought I would. She found the gestational sac right away and said it was measuring at 5w 4d. Then after hunting for what seemed like forever she said she saw the yolk sac although to be honest I couldn't really see anything. She said it looked to be 5w 2d. (Based on LMP I should be 5w5d.)

Then she also told us that we do not have compatible blood types. DH is RH+ like most people and I am RH-. I didn't know anything about this or what that means and she explained that I'll need at least two shots of Rhogam during the pregnancy to prevent major problems. I was just surprised to hear about this because we've been working with my RE for awhile now and I would have thought they would have mention my RH- blood already. I have auto immune disorder already so I'm wondering if there is a connection there. Good news is that once you have the shots everything should be fine.

I'll be going back on Wednesday of next week for another ultrasound and I really pray we see a bit more in the gestational sac. Grow little baby grow!

QOTW: We may get to go to the beach towards the end of the summer for about 5 days. I'm hoping the morning sickness will be gone by then.

Hi there Cara! I used to be on here about two years ago, and I was just popping in to see if Kathy had posted yet, but saw your post and just wanted to say to try not to worry! When they do the ultrasounds, it's totally normal for their scan to be off a little (mine was off by a few days too), and it sounds like you're right on track! :) The first time I saw my babe was just around the same as you and I was worried because they didn't see anything more than a sac with nothing in it, but a lot happens in just a week! Lo and behold at 6 weeks everything they expected to see was there. :)

  • Hi Lovely ladies,

Hugs to everyone that needs them.

The last few days have been a whirl wind of emotions. I am not trying to be a debbie downer I am grateful that I am still pregnant. Friday evening I started having some cramping and it continued all weekend. Tuesday I made an appt our OB was on vacation and so one of the other doc's in the clinic was able to see me and just basically blew off the cramps. Yesterday I was still cramping and so I called the OB's nurse and she was like just watch it. Turn to yesterday evening and the cramps got worse. I called the on call and got no response. The cramps were to the point were I was doubled over in them. I was diagnosed with braxton hicks contractions, round ligament pain, dehydration. I insisted that the ER doc do a US and had him call down a OB to check my cervix. They also did a steroid shot to try and stop/decrease the braxton hicks contractions. I see my regular OB on Monday morning. For now I am on bed rest.

QOTW: We aren't going on any vacaions this summer due to me being high risk and staying close to home if anything else should happen with these babies.

  • Hey guys!!!

Things have progressively improved since the last time I posted here.  I went to the doc on Tuesday after 2 weeks of bed rest - babies were a-ok and the blood clot had gotten a bit smaller.  I was moved to modified bed rest as a test run this week before returning to work next week.  Like an idiot, I fell today - right on my stomach.  I'm sure the bubs are okay, but I'm worried I retore the abruption and/or clot.  So I'm going in for an u/s in an hour to check on it...I'm sure it's fine though...

The best news this week?? We found out we are having two lovely girls!! Zara Grace & Isla Helen...we are SO excited!!!

QOTD:  No babymoon for us - we have a lot going on this summer - so it'll be nice to just relax at our house when we can :)

ETA: Just back from the u/s - babies are a-ok...phew!  Now to be a bit more graceful and not fall for the next 5.5 months or so...lol

Hello lovely ladies! I have officially crossed into 2nd Tri as of today. WOO HOO!!! I am starting to feel a lot better and the sickness is not as strong. I am still quite tired though.

There are no plans for a babymoon. Since I am due so close to Christmas, we will be saving money for that time. We may do something small, but certainly no big vacation.

    <3 to all of you!

Hi girls!

I'm hoping the morning sickness will be gone by then.

i just want to let you know the RH negative thing is no big deal. You just have to let your doctors know if you experience bleeding so they can give you the Rhogam shot early. If not you just get it at 28 weeks and then they'll probably do another one at delivery.

  • Hey ladies!

i'm 37 weeks now which is super exciting! My gestational diabetes is not going well so they've had to up my insulin again and they've decided if nothing happens by 39 weeks they'll induce me, so it looks like baby's eviction date is June 12th!

No babymoon for us, we just bought a new house and didn't want to spend anymore money.

    good luck to everyone!

    Hi Lovely ladies,

Hugs to everyone that needs them.

The last few days have been a whirl wind of emotions. I am not trying to be a debbie downer I am grateful that I am still pregnant. Friday evening I started having some cramping and it continued all weekend. Tuesday I made an appt our OB was on vacation and so one of the other doc's in the clinic was able to see me and just basically blew off the cramps. Yesterday I was still cramping and so I called the OB's nurse and she was li6ke just watch it.

QOTW: We aren't going on any vacaions this summer due to me being high risk and staying close to home if anything else should happen with these babies.

glad you all are good! Points to Leo's stay in there! <3

Eta, siggy picture is from my NT scan last week. LO was doing flips. MH thinks hr or she will be in the X-games. LOL!

    :::waves:::: Hi Ladies!!! <3

Chugging along here - I'm 15 weeks today! I have an elective u/s next week to find out the sex. My 20 week falls right on the 4th of July - and due to scheduling, they couldn't get me until 21 weeks. H didn't want to wait that long - he actually brought up the idea of the elective! He's sooo excited!

Here's my bump pic (I have a puppy biting my toes, sorry for the funny face!)

Always cheering for and lurking on 3T! I love you ladies! You're in my prayers!

ETA: QOTW: We're going to Vegas at the end of August. We can't go on vacay any sooner since H is still in grad school. He graduates July 20th! Thank GOD! I can't wait to eat my face off in Vegas!

my beautiful friend! Can't wait to find out who is in there!

Hi ladies!  I hit 3rd tri yesterday- so crazy!  I'm still feeling great and everything with the little guy is going well.  My shower is this weekend and I can't wait!  We're also hard at work on the nursery.  The painter is finally coming on Saturday.  Not much else is going on with me.  Always thinking of my 3T girls! ((hugs))

QOTW:  We went on an early babymoon last month.  We went to the Outer Banks in NC, and had a great time!  I live in South Jersey so I'm sure we'll be going to the beach a few times this summer, but other than that we'll be staying home getting ready for baby's arrival in August.

I can't believe you are due soon wow time flew

  • Late posting again this week.  25 weeks today.  Back pain miraculously disappeared the last few days.  I don't know what I'm doing differently.   As for a baby moon, hubby and I are taking our usual separate guys and girls vacations.  He's currently in Ontario, Canada fishing with his brother, dad, and buddies and right after he gets back I'll leave for FL with girlfriends for a long weekend.  Then he has back to back overseas work trips since I grounded him from travel for about 3 months around the time of delivery.  We are going to Eerie to visit my brother and sister in law and attend hubby's side's family reunion the end of July.  Other than that we may just get a quick weekend trip up to the cabin in the poconos.  So sad.  It's not even officially summer yet and it feels like its already over due to how busy our schedules are.  I joined a local neighborhood pool to have something to do on hot days when hubby isn't in town.

thinking of everyone and Congrats Cara on the recent BFP!  The early days are really scary but just try to enjoy as much as you can!

Hi! Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Just a heads up, we too had the RH issue. I went for a Rhogam shot when I was about 11 weeks pregnant and one at the end. I also had one after LO was born. There were no problems at all with the pregnancy and the RH issue. I think you will be A-OK!!! Good Luck!

  • Sorry for checking in late!  We had our N/T scan last friday and lucky is doing well!  We told DH's parents over the weekend as we were visiting them from out of state.  We told extended family at a BBQ on Sunday and have been telling friends and coworkers recently.

I am still unsure whether I should be going by the due date my ob gave me (12/1) or how the baby is measuring (4-6 days behind that date). So I usually just tell people we are due "the first week of December" and that covers it all!

QOTW: We are in the process of booking a trip to Ireland for August.  DH and I have always wanted to go and we have some airline/hotel points we can use to cover a lot of the expenses.

  • I'm late....and I've been horrible at the check ins! I'm a whopping 16 weeks 3 days today. It is nuts how time is flying by. It is hard to believe that in less than 4 weeks I'll be half-baked.

Had my regular OB check up, and heard a wonderful heartbeat. I have my anatomy scan at 18 weeks, so on June 11th. I cannot wait!

QOTW: No real babymoon for us. We sorta consider the trip to Mexico where baby was made as our babymoon. My inlaws really want us to fly out east this summer b/c MIL wants to throw me a baby shower. The only time we can go is over the 4th, so I think we'll try to do that. That will really be our only vacation b/c DH will hopefully be starting a new job soon. No vacation for him!

  • I am checking in late, as well! Hugs and thoughts and prayers to everyone who needs them.

Our due date is January 21, 2014!!!

I am now 6w and 3d. I got to see little nugget last Friday - it is essentially a black spot on my uterus, but I still smile when I look at the picture anyway :) We go back to hopefully see a heartbeat next Thursday. :D I feel absolutely fantastic, no morning sickness or nausea. I felt short of breath at first, but that is gone. The only other symptoms are fatigue and difficulty staying asleep (waking up between 2 - 4 each night and not being able to fall back to sleep), and VERY sore boobs.

I am so grateful. Last Christmas I had a total break down and cried because I was so sad we weren't spending it as new parents. This year we will be looking forward to a post Christmas gift. :D

QOTW:  We have two wedding related weekend trips planned (NYC in July and Seattle in October).  We were supposed to go to Paris for our 5th anniversary (next week, June 8) but work got in the way there so we are just going to San Diego for the weekend.  Now that we got a BFP and Paris next year will be impossible, I am hoping to convince dh that we should go in August. :D We have a lot of points to use, too!

    Hey guys!!!

So sorry have been in my own world with finishing school and so many things going on! So sorry I missed your BFP! Congrats lady so happy for you!!! :)
