I wish I could make a real poll...my poll button above the subject line does not work. Boo.
We are having a girl! Heather will be the middle name as it is my late sister's first name, and our last name is frighteningly German. We have narrowed it down to 3 names:
Willa Heather
Padgett Heather
Audrey Heather

I'm not a fan of Padgett at all, but the other two are very cute.
Please don't do either Willa or Padget... where did you get those names from, may I ask? Never heard of them. Is Willa supposed to be a form of Willow? I can see kids in school mercilessly picking on your LO with either of those names. Ick.
Audrey is nice though.
SMH. Willa is a very real, beautiful name with a long history. Please at least know what you are talking about before you say something ignorant.

Did you read my response to the OP? I said I had never heard of the name Willa, and asked where she got it from. There's nothing ignorant about that. It's NMS regardless, and that's my opinion, which I have every right to stating.
And as a preemptive (because no one on The Bump seems to know what the word ignorant means) it doesn't mean "stupid" it means "Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular".

You're right, that is the meaning of ignorant. I know it doesn't mean "stupid". I asked the OP where she got the name Willa from, because I was genuinely curious. The closest name I have ever heard of or seen in any relation to Willa, is the name Willow.

It's actually a really old name, it was popular from 1880-1930's, and is the feminine form of Will. It means determined protector. I suppose it can be short for Wilhelmina...which I do not care for. AND I really dislike Willow (thanks Willow Smith).

Well, I happen to like Padgett best, then Audrey. Willa reminds me of that song "I Wanna Be Bad."
You can continue on for as long as you like. I'm well aware of what names I'm familiar with, and what names I've never heard of. There's nothing wrong with not liking a name, for whatever reason, and there's nothing wrong with never heard/seen a name. You're kind of making this into a big deal, all over someone else's choice of a child's name.

OP, Willa is a beautiful name. I plan to use it if I can convince DH. She would be named after my FIL, William, who passed away last year.
