Charlie?

I'm not pregnant nor will I be any time soon but I just can't quit these name boards! Lol

What do you think of Charlie for a boy? I love it and you don't hear it often.

  • Our son is Charles, but he'll probably never be called that. He's always been Charlie.

    Love Charlie.
  • I absolutely love it as a nickname for Charles.  I am a huge believer in giving a child a full-name (so that they can use it later if they want) and calling them a nickname. I have a "nickname" as my given full name, and I HATE that.

  • Charlie is actually a quite popular name in my neck of the woods right now, for both boy and girl babies. I definitely prefer Charlie to Charles!

  • My grandpa was a Charlie.  So I'm rather fond of it.

  • Looks like I'm in the minority here but I'm not a fan of Charlie as a standalone name. I absolutely love the nickname Charlie, but as a name, it just feels incomplete and very informal which is fine for a baby or kid, but not sure how the workforce would interpret it 25 years down the road. I also don't really like Charles as a name much (though it's a family name), but if I really wanted to use Charlie, I'd stick with Charles.
