Stalled at 5 min contractions

Had a stretch and sweep yesterday which started contractions. Obviously we eer so excited and they were coming every 5 mins, well that has lasted until today and my midwife won't come over until I am between 4 an 3 mins apart so I have no idea if the contractions are even productive or not. Also they are bad and frequent enough that I have gotten literally no sleep. Just had to rant cause I'm so frustrated right now.

    I am sharing your frustrations!

    I had a sweep yesterday as well, was 4cm dilated and 90% effaced. Midwife said she wouldn't be surprised if I went into labor last night... but nope. Lots of cramping, random contractions (uncomfortable but not intense or painful), tons of spotting... No active labor. And she told me that most likely I'll go from zero to full labor suddenly, so basically I'm sitting around waiting for something to happen so that we can RUSH into the hospital.

    I'll be thinking of you and hoping things step it up! If they are bad enough to interrupt your sleep, they're probably at least productive!

    Walk. I know it sucks but it helps. I had my membranes swept then had tons of cramps contractions at 5 minutes for a couple hours then they stopped. Dh and I walked 2 miles that night and I had contractions the next morning. We went into the hospital got checked and walked for an hour and was checked again and was softened more and dilated more. Don't just sit and wait- walk and get your mind off things.

    thanks I did go for a walk and it definitely helped, MW is on her way over to check how far along I am....at least I'll know

    Experiencing the waiting game also. Contractions every 5-8 min for last 24 hours. Lost plug found out I was at 2cm yesterday. Sent home to labor (my choice). Now I am stalled and disappointed that more than likely I will be headed back to MW office tomorrow morning for another membrane sweep.

    Going to take these ladies advice and walk. Laying in bed the contractions when they do occur sporadically are like 10x worse then if I was standing or sitting.

    Hang in there mommies soon we will be reading each others birth stories.

    Welcome to my life. I just went through 7 hours of contractions that were 5 min apart. That's my 5th round of false contractions leading to nowhere. I want to kill someone!
