Travel and Expressed Milk

Hi all,

I'll be traveling for 2 days next week and my MIL has graciously offered to watch the bub. I normally EBF, baby has a bottle maybe once a week (but takes it like a champ! Discovered today that he'll take it cold, woo!). I've been pumping like a madwoman to produce enough for him for the 2 days I'll be gone. Should I be freezing the milk or keeping it in the fridge? Frozen means less waste (I'm nervous and giving her way too much), but is it better for him from the fridge?

It needs to be frozen if he's drinking it next week.

Oops sorry, I meant for what I'm pumping tomorrow and on (S-M next week, my milk keeps in the fridge for a week without a problem).

Freeze anything he's not drinking in a few days. Sbd it cannot be refrozen once its defrosted. Check out kellymom.com for Niemeyer storage help.

Freeze for the next few days, then refrigerate in the days right before. Have your MIL start with the thawed stuff and move to the refrigerated stuff when it's close to your return so she doesn't thaw too much.
