My second beta was thursday and it dropped from 73 to 33. The nurse told me to expect mc over the weekend. I haven't had a cramp or even a spot of blood. I took a hpt to see if it was any lighter and it was actually darker than my previous ones. Now I am freaking out. As bad as it sounds, I just want to get this over with so we can move on. I know it can vary from person to person but how long did it take for your mc to start once the beta dropped?

I am so sorry for your loss. Last Thursday I started bleeding and cramping but my betas that morning had gone up. Friday (the next day) they went down, and I stopped the meds that afternoon. Sat was fine with light bleeding. Sunday I started cramping and passing stuff. Then it stopped and Monday was totally fine. This morning I started bleeding and passing stuff again. I guess all the stopping and starting is happening as all my hormone levels decrease. My next beta is thurs.

You should start bleeding soon and should expect it to be more like a heavy period. With my C/P it was just a bit crampier and heavier but not too bad. Your beta does not need to be 0 for it to start.

Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal
Moving on to IVF.
IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy
Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14
After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14

So sorry you are going through this. We had the same thing happen. Betas were 40, 43, (+3 days), 11, (+2 days), M/C started.
so stopped meds on Monday, started bleeding on Saturday.
do get another beta (as per McIrish) to make sure it is going down.

I would definitely get a third beta as I see you transferred two blasts. I don?t want to give you false hope but a vanishing twin is a possibility. (((Hugs)))
