Advice on what baby shampoo to use other than the Johnson and Johnson?
We use Burts Bees.
This is what we did too.
We were using Aveeno, but tossed all JJ products when we read this. Hoping it didn't affect DD as we were using it for two months :mobile sad face:
My 2012 new years resolution was to stop buying products that have been tested on animals...personal care, household products, etc. Once we became more conscious of animal testing we found that most personal care products contain horrible ingredients that in higher dosages cause a myriad of problems, hence the need to test in living things prior to releasing them as 'safe'. It definitely makes it more work to find products like deodorant and toothpaste that we like, but when LO came around it made it way easier to have peace of mind about what we were exposing him to!
Unfortunately many brands that seem 'all natural' are owned by bigger companies like P&G, J&J, 3M etc and hence have some nasty ingredients.
IMO its not more expensive, just takes a little more work!
We use Cetaphil for washing, coconut oil for diaper rash on rare occasion (we CD) and that's it....have never used lotions and will be tossing the J&J stuff we got as gifts.
We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
I'm totally appalled by the fact that they can market and sell this product! The bottle even says that it's the 1 choice of hospitals. This is so wrong. My DD wigged out every time I used this product on her. It took me a couple of times before I realized that her outburst was caused by the j and j shampoo. This product should be banned.

We also use Burts Bees, but as a default as I got it as a shower gift. We were also considering Noodle and Boo, California Baby and Earth Mama Angel Baby.
I most consistently use California Baby, but also use Weleda from time to time. Lately I've been using Shea Moisture's Raw Shea, Chamomile, and Argan Oil baby ointment, which I LOVE for baby's dry skin. When you squeeze it out of the tube, it's really rocky and bumpy feeling, but then you rub it between your palms vigorously and the little bumps melt away. It has the most pleasant smell, too!

I use Dr Bronner's baby safe soap for hair and body. It's unscented, but does have a "soapy" smell I've come to appreciate.

Any recs that don't contain and bee products? I'm allergic and Burt's products MAY contain bee byproducts.
California Baby
Ditto California Baby.
