another tummy question

When your LO sleeps on their belly, do they keep their knees kind of tucked, so their butts are in the air? It looks so uncomfortable, so I've yet to put him down for the night like this, even though he naps pretty well on his stomach. His knees are sometimes red, though...

I slept like that for years when I was little. DD1 used to as well.
  • When DD slept on her stomach, her butt was high up in the air. I have a video monitor now, and I am often surprised at the positions she is in.  She has a FP Seahorse, and she sleeps ON it half the time... DS hasn't started rolling around in his sleep yet though.

  • Apparently this is how I slept when I was younger.. And when asked about it, I told my mom it was because it 'helped the farts come out easier'. I was classy from day 1!

    LOL

My LO sleeps with his butt at least partially in the air.
