Just curious if anyone was not waiting or didn't wait until your 6 week check up to be cleared for fun time with DH? I was actually down for it 1 week PP I know crazy right?! But I didn't. DH was too afraid to. wah for me...
With my DD, we had sex about 4 weeks pp. my bleeding was pretty much gone and I didn't have any tears or other issues going on. We took it slow and used lube and it was just fine.
I had an easier labor, delivery and recovery this time around so I'm thinking we'll probably give it a try around 4 weeks again.
My birth center advises waiting the 6 weeks, but says that 3 weeks or more is generally fine if you don't have any red bleeding, didn't tear, and are feeling up to it.
DH has been attacking me the last week, but I keep turning him down. I want to make sure my ute is healed from my c-section and I haven't decided on a BC and DH won't use a condom
My appt. isn't until 8 weeks and I figured we wouldn't wait that long. I felt fine at almost four weeks. No pain or bleeding, we used protection and didn't go crazy with it or anything. I had a csection.
I'm starting to think I'm a freak since its all I'm thinking about. 4 days PP I resumed all normal activities like driving, carrying heavy things, etc and haven't needed pain meds in a long time. I'm just worried about 2 things. 1 my DH won't find it enjoyable anymore I mean a 8lb 8oz baby just traveled through there and 2 my MW will know we did it and scold me, I know if she asks ill spazz out. Im easy to read. Oh what to do.
I was feeling up to it really soon after as well, I had no tearing or stitches and was only sore for maybe a couple of days after so I probably could have by now...but I'm just erring on the side of caution and waiting until my appointment! Only a week and a half more, I'm going to be strong...at least try. Lol
I'm finally getting interested in it again, and since we didn't have sex the last month I was pg either, it's been a really long time. But I did tear and have stitches that don't feel 100% yet, so I'm waiting until I get the drs okay. No sense in getting an infection or causing any more trauma down there!

I may be a prude, but I'm a big fan of following the advice of my dr. Even though I had a RCS and I don't really have trauma per se in my lady bits, my dr made it pretty clear that there is a risk of infection with anything all up in there and needing things to heal up. I'm only a week PP so maybe I'll change my mind as I feel better, but for now whatever my dr says is what I'll go with.

This. It's not necessarily advised for comfort, but from an infection standpoint. Where the placenta was attached to your uterus is essentially a wound that needs to heal.
I will def be waiting. They don't say nothing in the vag for 6 weeks for no reason. I heard it a million times at the hospital. And there are other ways to have fun.
Trying to wait. I'm 2.5 weeks PP but absolutely in the mood. The bleeding hasn't completely stopped, and I'm not 100% sure my bottom has healed. DH has been good, isn't begging for special time, or for me to consider "playing". It will probably happen before the 6 weeks as long as DH is on board.
My sex drive came back with a bang about a week PP... so far we've waited. I did have a 2nd degree tear, but I wasn't ever sore from it except maybe the first few days afterward. Bleeding is done except light spotting, I'm down to just a panty liner, and most days it's not needed. DH wants me to call and move my appointment up since it got scheduled for 7 weeks, lol. We'll probably wait until my dr clears me, we'll see.
After feeling good the last few days post csection I feel in the mood but definitely not 100 percent, which, I shouldn't because well, I'm only 10 days out. This combined with not wanting to risk another pg, since this LO was our last, is keeping things tame till further notice. Probably not going to wait 6 weeks though!
DH after seeing me post partum is on the prowl big time though. Lol.
I'm a bit nervous to try but I think I'll be up for it in a week. However, there's no way in hell we're having sex until my IUD is placed. I get pregnant too easily to risk it.

Follow the advice of medical professionals, that's what. Your lady bits need time to heal.
We can't wait to meet our Blake Katherine!!
Lol same here!

This. I barely have time to eat, sleep, and shower. Sex doesn't even cross my mind.
My recovery this time as been so much better. But I doubt I'll be thinking about sex again until 3 months pop again.

Makes it fun in one way!
These doors are closed until I am given the a-ok by the doc, whether I felt fantastic or not. I feel like shizzit.
Same here
I was told you should wait 4 to 6 weeks, depending on when you have your dr visit follow up and how you are generally healing.
I hate to admit that DH and I could only wait until 3 weeks. That being said, I have felt great since delivery and we were very careful.
