I am looking for a unique short girl name. I'd like it to go with Ava our daughter these are the names we like but can't agree on a one lol
Wren
Arya
Luca Lou
Rowe
Any help would be great. Thanks!!
It's funny... Rowe is a family surname for me and a couple of my male cousins have it as their middle name. But I'm thinking about it for a girl now that I see it in your list, I like it! But I know it's mainly because it has a strong family connection for me.
Of your list, I love Wren. Not a huge fan of the other options, there just NMS. (Although I would like Arya because of Game of Thrones if it wasn't for the strong "ya" sound)
I do really like Isla as was suggested by PPs. Also, Lyra and Lila.
Arya is the only one I like, but prefer it spelled aria. Since Luca is a boy's name, what about Lucia? Lucia Lu? However it reminds me access Lucy Liu. IMO Wren is a terrible name. So is Rowe. reminds me of row row row your boat gently down the stream.
I like Wren, and Arya is okay. Luca is a boy's name, Lou is a nn to me [Lucy? Louise?], and Rowe is just odd as a girl's given name. If it's a family name it might be nice as a middle.
Arya is pronounced Are-yah. Is that what you want? Do you want Aria? Are-EE-uh? Then spell it properly. Switching out I and Y DOES change pronunciation. Yes, I watch Game of Thrones.
I'm not completely sure this is true. I feel like the actress playing her mother is the only one on the show that pronounces it that way. IRL I would take the mother's pronunciation over anyone else's, but this is television, and she didn't name the child. If GRRM pronounces it that way, I'm sold, but I've never heard him say it.

I don't care for Wren. It makes me think of the original Footloose with Kevin Bacon.
I like:
Isla

Maya
I would go with Wren.
I dislike Arya
Luca is a boy's name
Rowe isn't a name, it's what you do in a boat, gently 'cross the stream.
