So today's boodwork was done at my RE rather than the quest bloodwork I had done on Monday and Wednesday. (I couldnt get to my RE because of standardized testing being done at my school.) Anyway it is a 1612. The RE said it was a great number but of course I wanted to see it double. Wednesdays beta was and 896 so its not far off doubling but I am just so paranoid. Why do I have to be this way? I wish that previous m/c didnt have to stifle my happiness. What are your thoughts about that beta? Would you be concerned?

I think jeanna had a similar situation with one of her betas, and she's plugging along right behind me, so hopefully our stories can help you relax a little.
It sounds like everything is going great so far, so try to relax and enjoy it as best you can for now. When is your first u/s?
Thanks, girls. My first ultrasound is next Friday, a week from today. Hoping for the best and trying not to worry.

I know it's hard not to worry, and much easier said than done! But that being said, I think the numbers sound great. I know we all want to see doubling in 48 hours, but I've heard that it really only should double every 2-3 days.
Plus, labs really are supposed to vary quite a bit. I had a zillion betas run when I had an ectopic, and I remember the hospital being really firm about only comparing their labs' numbers. They wouldn't compare them to the ones from my doctor at all because they said that numbers from different labs vary so much.
Your numbers really do sound great to me. Keep us posted!
5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.
Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN. After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.
August 16, 2013: BFP our first month of "not trying!" Still in shock. Beta #1 (14dpo): 183. Beta #2 (17dpo): 611. Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! Ultrasound 9/13/13: 8 weeks, heart rate of 176! Baby is due 4/26/14
