My son arrived early, at 31 weeks, late Monday night. He's still nameless. My husband and I went up to the NICU right after he was born with our short list of names. But none fit him. Our list was full of short cute names and our little guy is such a strong fighter so we decided to scrap them all and start over.
Our original now scrapped short list:

Jasper
Toby
Nico
Any suggestions for what to name a fiesty baby boy who survived a complicated pregnancy? For reference my twins are Max Vincent and Lily O'Brien.

My first thought was Alexander.
It says the same thing to me but my husband sees it as a hippie name which he doesn't think fits any more. I love the name jasper.

I think I just fell in love with Evan. I liked the name before but the meaning is wonderful. And OP, it's perfect for your situation. I saw someone said Evan Alexander. I love that!
