Recently pulled out the PISA. Went to Target and bought a box with new accessories... It doesn't come with tubing though! I threw my old tubing out because it was about 7 years old!
Looked at BRU. Didn't see any tubing.... Anyone have any tips on where to look?
i know that if I wait and tell them at the hospital that I want to pump, they will bring me the Medela hook ups including tubing... But I was just trying to be all prepared before then!
Re: Medela Tubing??
I googled "where to buy Medela tubing" and found their website.
https://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/store
Someone told me if you call the company they will send you some. I think she said you just have to pay shipping or it's free or something. This could be completely inaccurate, but I feel it's worth giving customer service a call! GL
Thanks for this!!
Thanks, y'all!
That's true, but not at all relevant. Everyone needs new replacement tubes sometimes, not just for a new user.
I got Medela tubing from a store near me, never registered my pump.
I'm still confused by this. I get what they are saying, but then wouldn't it be a hazard for anyone to use their pump? If you got an infection, you have to go buy a new pump since you can't sterilize everything? How does that make sense. And even from one child to the next, it wouldn't be safe.
I feel like it's a marketing scam to scare you into buying a brand new pump. I know I don't have anything to back that up. It's just my gut feeling.
This is what my ped and ob said. They said that if it was a hand me down from years of use or more than one user to reconsider, but the bacteria that could be in the motor isn't going to be transferred to breast milk. They said it's been a scare tactic of companies that make pumps to get you to purchase a new one. My sis received it from state assistance and had issues with my nephew's tummy so she hardly used it for a month before switching to formula.
