Kick counts

Does anyone have any really slow nights? Normally I get 10 kicks under 20 min. I'm over an hour now. : I've had ice cream with a brownie and she isn't going nuts she has a strong movement day yesterday.

Re: Kick counts

  • My Ob uses a range of 6 to 10 kicks in under 2 hours. Are you in that range and not quite to 10? Chugging cold water helps me sometimes.

  • Have you tried different positions? Or pushing on her?

But slow times are normal, particularly if she was active yesterday.  We had a really eventful day on Friday, so baby boy was not as active yesterday, today he's going crazy.  However, if you are worried, it will never hurt to call your on-call doctor- that's what they are there for!

  • My OB likes an average of 10 in an hour time frame. Sugar normally takes a half hour to work for me. Sometimes ice cold water works too and shifting to a new position.

  • I'm almost to an hour and a half and at 9. Most of the kicks were in the beginning. The last 4 to 5 have dragged.

  • I definitely have slower days sometimes. But, just as soon as I start really freaking out about it, another hour will have him more active and meeting the 10 counts per hour. Maybe just wait until after you've eaten and see what happens?

  • It's 10 kicks within 2 hours.

She might be going through a growth spurt and sleeping more.
