sterilizing bottles in boiling water

i have avent bottles that i want to sterilize in a pot of hot water but how do i know if they can be and wont melt? they are not glass bottles. I am sorry if dumb question i just dont want to ruin them they are expensive lol

They won't melt. The instructions tell you to put it in boiling water for five minutes.

I use Avent bottles also and we sterilize them in boiling water for 5 minutes without any issues.

The Avent website can probably tell you. I don't use Avent, but I've boiled every single part that came with my Medela, so I'd think you're probably safe to boil them. I boil them for 10 minutes a day and heard somewhere not to boil for more than 20 minutes.

ALL plastic bottles have the capability to be boiled for a 5 min period. I actually read the instructions on them all, lol.
