Question for the Mommies

For those of you who've had your baby, or who have already had other babies...

I was reading a list of stuff to pack in your hospital bag (yeah, I should probably have that done by now!) and read for the baby, to pack clothes that snap on the side so they don't rub against the cord. I went and looked and basically none of my newborn size clothes fasten (zip, snap, or otherwise) on the side. They all go right down the middle.

Is this going to be a problem? Do I need to get more onesie type things without snaps and zippers, or will it not be a big deal?

it shouldn't be a problem, but even if it is, the hospital will probably provide some onesies.

I wasn't ever told that by my pedi, hospital or otherwise. But I think it would be more convenient. My hospital provided those so you may want to check with them.

Our hospital had kimono-style t-shirts. She wore one of those plus a swaddling blanket whilst in the hospital.

Thanks!! Good to know... I was not looking forward to shopping for MORE baby clothes.
