Pre folds and thirsty duos:

What am I doing wrong?? Every poo diaper explodes into the thirsty duo. Usually Dd's clothes stay clean, but I need to change the cover. Is this normal? I only bought 3 covers thinking I'd do laundry every 2-3 days. Me thinks I need more covers.

    Do you snappi or pin the prefold first?  This is critical when LOs are young.

    You could try a different fold, but I don't know.  I use the angel fold with snappies and still it often gets on the covers, it was the same with DD.  It gets better when they start eating solids.

    Yeah, this happened all the time with us. I have 1 Thirsties Duo Wrap cover and 6 prefolds to bulk out my stash. She's pretty much guaranteed to poop the first time I put her in the it, which defeats the purpose of a reusable cover. I've mainly given up o

    MFI due to retrograde ejaculation/azoospermia.
    5/2 IVF #1 cancelled due to large follie.
    6/14 start Lupron for IVF #1.2. 6/22 start stims.
    7/4 ER and Biopsy.
    7/9 Transferred 2 (1-4BB and 1-3BB) embryos.  4 frosties.
    7/15 +HPT 6dp5dt. 7/18 Beta #1: 193. 7/20 Beta #2: 415.
    8/10 1st u/s - It's triplets!

    I've always done well with the jelly roll and a Snappi. I had poopsplosions all the time with other folds. And yes, I'd spring for more covers. Bububibi covers have worked very well for us, and they're very reasonably priced!

    Ditto to the jelly roll fold with a snappi. Make sure you pull up the diaper before you use the snappi to make it tight around the legs don't go too tight. You don't want to leave red marks, just snug. Our covers only get dirty about once a day or every

    I sucked at using a snappi when DD was a newborn and eventually just bought more covers so we had 6 which was enough for EOD washing.
