stool?

ok so only been a mom for 13 days so dont laugh if my question is dumb lol. When the baby has a bowel movement should i be looking every time to see what the stool looks like? I feel like i am trying to change him quickly especially so i dont get peed on and then i just throw the diaper in the pail without checking. I dont know how important this ?

    Our daughter is almost 6 weeks and we still check her poops. Put the dirt one aside while u finish the clean one on him. Check poop and toss. When u get to yellow and/or brown u are good but we still ck anyway.

    Since finding blood in DS's stool and finding out that he is allergic to both cow's milk and soy, I have gotten into the habit of checking his stool. As the PP said, just put the dirty one aside and finish putting on the new one.

    I see my LO's but i don't check it.. I think its fine..


    I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
