Stroller walks

My little guy really doesn't seem to enjoy stroller walks. I thought babies were supposed to love stroller walks. He hates being put in his car seat for some reason (screams bloody murder), then doesn't really settle down once it is hooked to the stroller and walked. For the majority of most walks he is fussing or all out crying, though he sometimes does settle down or sleep too. For this reason, I hate taking him on walks, but my husband, mom and MIL all really like taking him out in the stroller, I think just for getting to push the stroller around the neighborhood and show him off. His crying doesn't seem to bother them as much as it bothers me. My mom just took him on a long walk and I can't even relax and enjoy the me-time because I am envisioning him screaming the whole time. :(

I am hoping this is just a phase and he eventually starts enjoying being in the stroller. It will be a rough summer if not!

How does your LO feel about stroller walks?

My LO loves them. Have you tried putting LO in the stroller instead of the car seat? Ellie is more comfortable that way and she's only 9 pounds!

I thought they had to be in the car seat when they are still this little...

Anyway have you tried just putting lo inthe car seat without buckling it? Maybe that's bad, but that's what we do for walks, dd just doesn't seem to like being so tie

We have a City Mini stroller, and it is okay for infants because the "seat" part of it reclines so that DS can lay back and be supported and strapped in.  It's hard to explain, but it works from birth through toddler years.  My DS enjoys being i

He probably just wants to be held, to be closer to you rather than all alone in a contraption.  Try carrying him around the neighborhood, in a Moby or some other baby carries.  My little guy loves these, looks around for a while at all the excit

I would not put LO in the stroller or carseat unbuckled. This is very dangerous. Even if I am "right there" I make sure he is secure because accidents happen.

OP - depends on the stroller, but you could check yours out to see if LO can be put in

Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. I have a k'tan and have tried him in it a few times, but he fussed and struggled while it in. I think he felt too confined and didn't like that he couldn't look around. I plan to keep trying though. I have

my LO enjoys stroller walks during her active alert phase...we might get a short nap but seriously only like 20 minutes, then she wakes up.  She likes to look around and coos, but as she starts getting tired she'll get fussier.

We have yet to go out because MN is stuck in winter right now.... But.
When I put her in the carseat I slowly buckle her in and she is happier. I will put her arm in and then go put my shoes on..... Come back and put her other arm in. She does much

Whenever she starts to fuss, my husband takes the car seat off the stroller and swings it back and forth a few times and she settles right down.  Strapped in of course!
