Will my doc recommend C/S if I've had stomach surgery?

I've had a gastric bypass (laprascopic) and I've also had a breast reduction - are my chances of having a c-section higher?

I don't know about the gastric bypass, but a breast reduction doesn't put you at higher risk of a c/s.  Good luck!

My SIL had laprascopic WLS and her doctor was all for her doing things vaginally. It was other factors that led to her c-section.

I had a bowel resection 6 years ago. My OB is afaird of scar tissue.  It is my decision and after reading and asking my Dr. GI and OB I am doing the C-section.  The chances of have a flare of my Crohn's is scarier with a vaginal birth than with a C-section.  But talk to your dr.  It all depends on where your scar tissue is.

I have the gastric lapband and also had a c-section but the 2 had nothing to do with one another.  The plan was to do vaginal until my high bp turned into pre-e and my bp went through the roof.
