how much formula?

my newborn is 12 days old and weighs about 9lbs. He obviously does not really have a pattern of how much he will take for food but his past few bottles he has taken 3 ounces and been ok with it. Does that seem like a lot? I am always unfraid of over or under feeding him.

DS is almost 6 weeks old but only 7 1/2 lbs. He has just gone up from 3 to 3 1/2 oz every 3 hours. I don't think you have to worry about over/underfeeding unless he's spitting up a lot or getting hungry between feedings.

That's right around the time we upped my son to 3 oz because 2 oz wasn't satisfying him. He's still at 3 oz now at almost 5 weeks.

Dr told us 3 is fine..we do 2 1/2 because she always falls asleep but if wants more give her more and that's when she was 12 days

seems about right...our LO is 10lbs 4 oz and takes 3-4 oz

Glad to hear how hes eating sounds normal. At 520 he drank 3 oz then at 620 ish had almost another 2. He doesnt spit any up and seems pretty happy so i guess i shouldnt worry too much :
