For diaper rash application, does it need to be extra virigin? I have some pain organic coconut oil on hand but it's not extra virigin. Is that ok?

Would you recommend coconut oil for bad diaper rash? We've been using Earth Mama Angel Baby Bum Balm for LO's diaper rash and after almost 2 weeks it's still there, although barely. We're getting desperate at this point as there are 3 little welts left. W

OP, I'd use what you have. For the pp with the rash problem, it sounds persistent. Coconut oil has worked about as well as my yum bum butter, but no better. Maybe try to give her some diaper free time on a towel or use a fitted or prefold with no cover fo

I don't use coconut oil for a bad rash, more for redness and prevention.

For a bad rash, I use something with zinc oxide. I know people claim you "can't", but I've used my Live Clean Baby diaper cream without issue. It clears things up super fast
