My husband and I are having a hard time deciding on a name for our daughter. Our first daughter is Kennedy. Some names we haven't ruled out are Rory and Ainsley. He is really set on Parker. If Kennedy was a boy we were going to name her Parker. So I really like the name. I'm just not sure how I feel about it for a girl name. The middle name is going to be Elizabeth family name. How do you feel about Parker for a girl?

There was a show on TNT with Timothy Hutton for a few years recently with a female character named Parker. I loved the character & the name. I say go for it!
Parker is a last name, first and foremost. Those who insist on making it on a first name should only be parents of a boy. It is not nor should it ever be a girl's name.
Parker is so masculine sounding. I don't understand the appeal to name a girl such a masculine name. Maybe Avery or Riley or Morgan. All I prefer on boys, but I feel they are more girl friendly than Parker. I really like Avery and Kennedy together.
The only reason I can even conceive of it as a girl name is Parker Posey. But I generally don't use celebrities as a basis for such decisions. It still seems very much like a boy name to me.

I'm not a big fan of the name, but honestly I like it better for a girl than for a boy. Like a PP said, it was a female character's name in the show Leverage with Timothy Hutton. It was also a female character's name in the show Veronica Mars.
I personally don't care for it but there are a lot of female names today that were originally male names so I don't see why Parker couldn't be one too.
This was my DHs top girls name, I told him no. Not only bc it's still in the Top 100 for boys, but also because our last name rhymes with Posey. Ain't nobody got time for that.
We have switched to Riley which I absolutely love, but some on the Na
I know an adult female Parker. It works on her. But professionally, it's a *** because when all you see is her name on an email or letterhead, people assume she's a guy.
It's unisex. If you love it, go for it. It is used on girls, too, and I DON'T think Parker is a masculine name at all. It's way too frilly and weak for a boy's name, IMO. It's NMS at all for either sex, but I'd
Have you considered the name Harper for a girl? It has the same sound as Parker but I think it sounds so much better with Kennedy. Harper Elizabeth is cute.

I don't think Parker works for a girl.

This, sorry
I will say this on every thread. I adore boy names for girls. Parker is perfect. I think there is an actress whose name is Parker as well.
