I was just on the babycenter website reading something and in the corner there was a video of a girl getting an epidural. Ive seen this done in person through clinical rotations but now it just hit me i may be getting one done. I want to try to go natural as long as i can (up until the point of no going back) but i am not against getting one done. After watching the video thought im so nervous about giving birth now!!

i honestly didnt even feel mine go in, i was so far into labor and so focused on the pain that it didnt even phase me. it sure worked though.I was in labor over 40 hrs and had the epi placed a total of 3 times (after 24hrs because it needed adjusting and then after delivery because some douchebag took it out before they determined the bleeding was stopped). Didn't feel a thing any of
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

My plan with DS had been to try to go med free, but wasn't opposed to pain meds if I needed them. I had an emergency induction on high-dose pitocin, and labored for 12 hours before deciding to get an epidural. I didn't feel it go in at all,
I had an epi last time and I truly don't remember feeling any pain when I got it. At that point, I was having back labor, so the needle prick was nothing at all. And I slept for 5 hours after I got it... heavenly.

I have a huge fear of needles but I was in so much pain that I could have cared less. I am a wuss and know I couldn't have gone naturally. More power to those who can. I didn't even fee it happening cause I was so focused on the pain of my contractions

My epidural was amazing! I only hope I am that lucky this time around. I don't think I really even felt them doing it because my contactions were 2 minutes apart and those were my only focus. I labored naturally until it was almost too late -
