back contractions???

Just read a post regarding counting back contractions - and it made me wonder about this extreme discomfort i have been having all day in my lower back. it comes and goes but i havent' been timing them - didn't realize they could be contractions - so i should start timing them? and when i say discomfort i am being nice to the word painful and annoying - i can't sit and it bothers me when i am moving around. should i be concerned that this might lead to labor?

This is exactly how my labor began. For about the first 8 hours they would come and go irregularly and then eventually fell in to a somewhat regular pattern of every 5 min or so, though they were never perfectly consistent. Back labor is tough but you can

Definitely start paying attention to them. That's how my friend's labour started when she was 36 weeks. It totally took her by surprise.
