My son has had green poop two times. One was tonight and the other was a few days ago. Between the two, he has had a normal color poop. What does green poo mean? We are breastfeeding and formula feeding.
DS is formula fed and his poop is always green with what looks like little grains of yellow rice in it (sorry, TMI). Point being, the poops your getting that are green are probably the ones where he metabolized the formula.
Yeah it's either from the formula, or from getting more foremilk than hind milk . We do mostly breast milk with the occasional formula bottle and also have rando green poops.
If you are BF, green poop is usually a sign of oversupply and baby is getting too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk. Try pumping 1 oz out before feeding baby to be sure baby starts getting some hindmilk for a bit and see if things improve.</p
