I just got back from my follow-up with the MFM who diagnosed the last loss. She had told me at that appointment that she wanted to see me after the loss was done to go over all of my losses.
DH was able to go to the appointment with me which was good. The doctor had us go over our first loss. She feels that the issue is progesterone related and that if we get to second tri again she wants us on progesterone supplements until week 34. She also recommended that we do cervix monitoring just in case IC may be an issue.
As far as the other two losses, she feels the CP was just random and that the latest loss may be related to quality issues due to our age. What she felt was important was that Zachary showed we can make a healthy baby. Carrying to term is the big issue.
It was just really nice to get all of our questions answered and feel like we have a game plan going forward.
She did give us a recommendation for an RE and I'm waiting for a call back for our first appointment there. More importantly, she did not feel like we really needed an RE for anything other than testing and that is purely for additional information.
