Tell me a happy IUI story, please....

I'm actually part of the TTC after 35 board (I'm 42).  On Monday we're having our first IUI after lots of failed attempts with follistim/ovidrel, & TI.  So many of the TTC after 35 women have been unsuccessful with IUI so I thought I'd check in here to raise my hopes a little.

Me: 42, DH: 43. We are so grateful to have a 2yr old daughter, conceived naturally after 3 miscarriages & no treatments (our Dr. gave us 1 more month to try on our own before advacing to IVF, & we conceived her naturally in January 2010)! Trying since April 2011 without sucess....MD said we were both "fine" & that if it wasn't happening, it was a chromosomal issue. Finally started Follistim 225mcg injections with an Ovidrel trigger November 2012. Bleeding 11 days post Ovidrel on November 25th. Starting the whole lab/Ultrasound/Follistim cycle again on November 27th...

    Beta #1 7/1: 39. Beta #2 7/5: 301 U/S 7/19 - saw HB!!
    EDD 3/12/12
    DD born 3/5/12

    We had three IUIs (and two cancelled IUI attempts) and got pregnant on two of them.  We consider ourselves very, very fortunate.

    I was not over 35yo, but I was 32yo. We had tried for 2.5 years to get pregnant without success. We conceived DD after two IUI attempts. Then, I went on to have a surprise a little over a year and a half later and now I am pregnant again at 41yo na

    I did get a bfp on my first IUI with Gonal F, unfortunately it was a chemical pregnancy but I still consider that a success in terms of the actual process of the IUI working. One key thing my RE pointed out was that in terms of having better odds with IUI

    I was diagnosed with PCOS and did two cycles of clomid with no luck.  On my 3rd cycle of clomid and first IUI attempt, I was very fortunate and got pregnant.  Good luck!!

    So glad you asked this! I will be doing my last attempt of ttc doing superova iui....glad to hear success stories!

    My Ovulation Chart


    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    We got pregnant on our second IUI with chlomid and donor sperm (hubby's sperm are weirdly shaped and slow/confused)... Our first attempt was in the dr's office and it was awful. But, our second attempt was at a fertility clinic and it was amazing!! So,

    I got pregnant with my first IUI for DH.  This was after two years of trying with Clomid.  I was on Bravelle for the IUI.

    Thank you so much for all the responses. It really is so helpful to hear real stories, especially when things didn't go well for our first IUI due to DH!  We'll see if we're successful with the TI this month, & if not, I think it's going to

    I hope this gets to you in time....I'm a major lurker but was once upon a time a pretty regular poster.  I got PG on my first IUI.  After several months of timed trying, meds, etc...all it took for me was an IUI.  I Feel lucky knowing that

    Diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks. Controlled through diet and exercise. No insulin.
    Diagnosed with Cholestasis of pregnancy @ 36 weeks.
    Delivered via C-section @ 36 weeks on 11/9/11.
