Umbilical Cord

Dd is two weeks tomorrow her umbilical cord is hanging by a thread so to speak. Her belly button looks wet inside the hole. It doesn't smell gross i know. What I do?

    My son did the same thing.  Just leave it, it will fall off in a day or two.  Then the inside of the belly button dried up and came out today.  So he finally got a full bath.

    My son's hung on by a thread for so long. Not falling off until he was nearly 4 weeks! It's totally normal, just keep swabbing with alcohol. :)

    Yep, just let it go.  It will fall off on its own one day.
