Working moms: More milk, less frequent pumping?

STM or Mom's that have went through this:

At daycare, Tanner drinks 8oz bottles, about every 5 hours, on average. I am still pumping ever 3 hours, and I am keeping up with him.

I would like to change my supply around so that I can pump maybe every 4 or 5 hours but still get the same amount of milk that I am getting now- Because on the weekends, I feel like he's having to breastfeed more often because he's used to drinking 8 oz at a time, and I'm not producing 8oz, I'm producing about 4oz every 3 hours.

Is there a good way to start transitioning my body to do this, or will it make my supply tank?

Any information is appreciated. TIA!

I don?t think your supply will tank if you go every four hours at work I often go four hours and produce the same at the end of the day as if I went three. With that being said, I don?t know that you will produce 8 per session. 8 ounces is a lot for a b

Wow, 8oz is a lot for one feeding.  My DS has never taken more than 5oz a feeding and just recently started that at 9ish months.

I"m not sure on the pumping at different times.  I'd be too scared to change things up and hurt supply es

Yikes. 8 oz at once is not a natural thing for your body (or your baby) to be doing at 4 months old... I would honestly try to get your LO to drink 4 oz bottles every 2.5 hours. It is a far more "normal" schedule for a breastfed baby. And nursing often

Woah! These responses I'm getting on both this board and my month board are really surprising me!

My doctor did not seem to have a problem with him drinking that amount in that time frame at his 4month appointment - Also my DCP has been doing da

8oz is a lot for a 4 month old baby. I'd try to feed smaller bottles.

My ds is 4 months old and takes 7 oz bottles about every 3 hours. We went up from 6 ozs about 2 weeks ago so in hoping he spreads out his feedings a bit more or drops a bottle.

What PPs have said.  DS's pedi said that 4-6oz is normal for babies 3-4 months old.  He said 6oz should only be an occasional thing since it's like eating a Thanksgiving meal.  8oz sounds like way too much.  It's very easy to overfeed
