I'm debating on buying DS1 a pair of Sperry's for summer, but they're 40. Which seems like so much for a pair of kid shoes, especially toddler ones. They should last so that DS2 can wear them, too, when he gets older. So there's that. But gah, I don't even buy myself 40 shoes.
I did try looking at all the consignments sales in the area, but no luck.
So maybe I should rephrase my question to, what's the most you'll spend on a pair of kid's shoes?
We live right by a huge outlet mall with Stride Rite, Sperry, etc. so I don't usually have to spend more than 25, but now that we have DS2 who's already fitting in DS1's things from last summer, I wouldn't mind spending more to get us through the 2 boys.
DS has had 2 pairs of sperry's and they hold up great.
I usually buy DS's shoes at stride rite so I spend 40 or more. But He doesn't need shoes all that often so I usually hit the sales, use coupons or shop at the outlet.
When buying DD's shoes I usually spend about $40-$50. I like to buy her comfortable shoes and she has wide feet so that limits the variety of shoes available to her. I usually end up buying at stride rite or getting her sized in store and then buying on z
For her every day sneakers, I pay around $40 because she gets Nikes. I started getting her better sneakers once she entered school and had gym class, I felt they're better for her feet and wanted her in a good pair. I pay less for her "play" s
I know I'm in the minority but I really don't spend a lot on DD's shoes. She still has REALLY small feet. She's almost 18months and still in size 2-3. The majority of her shoes are hand-me-downs from my niece in great shape and adorable. The few pair I
I'm cheap, I guess. I don't spend more than 10-15 on a pair of shoes for the kids. I'd say I mostly spend less than 10 but 15 is my max. $40 is my limit for myself a pair of shoes...LOL.
30-50. The last pair of shoes I bought DS were a pair of nice Nikes, that were 50. They may not wear them a long time as toddlers, but shoes are something they at least wear everyday or regularly so you get your money's worth I think.
I'm not sure. Right now he's wearing 10dollar sneakers .. granimals. But he does have a pair of 45 converse that he just grew out of and iI'll buy him another pair. I mean we spend like 100 dollars on our sneakers and stuff so it doesn't seem to much.
Generally between $25-50 per pair. Occasionally if one of the kids needs a dressier pair that I know they'll only wear a few times I'll go for a $10-15 pair at Target. I usually wait until Stride Rite is having a promo and take both kids in to get o
I'm cheap with shoes. Generally around $25. I did spend $45 on running shoes for DD#1 b/c she has wide feet and we couldn't find cheaper ones that fit.
My kids generally get their shoes from Payless and Target.
I spend a lot more on my DD's shoes because she's in school, and I want them to last and also be decent quality for her while she's at recess and P.E. So, $45-$50 on sneakers for her. I'll spend a bit less on sandals that she's going to wear during the
I'll spend up to $40 on Stride Rite. I just bought him some Champion at Payless for $10 that had good reviews for toddlers with wide feet so we'll try those out.
I get all of DS' shoes from Stride Rite and have spent about $40-$55 per pair. He also has a couple pairs of Crocs for the summer that I got at the outlets for about $18-$20 each.

I think the most I have spent is $30. I go to the Stride Rite outlet and can get two good pair of shoes on sale there for what one pair costs at the regular store.
We have an Olly Shoes around here too that has a decent clearance sect
I save the expensive shoes for the grand parents to buy. My mom has bought her 2 pair of sketchers. She had the ones that light up and my mom spent $50 on those. The most we spend is $15. I would never spend more on her shoes than
I spend $20-$40 and always buy from stride rite. My pedi never ever gives advice on anything unless you specifically ask and he went out of his way to tell us that they are far superior. Oh and FYI a famuily friend that is a podiatrist said to never le
$15-20 per pair is the most I'll spend. I haven't had any problems with the quality of Payless shoes for the price, and as DD1 gets older, she actually tends to wear her shoes out.

I've been spending $40-$50 on DS's Pedipeds. He wears them everyday. I like the flexible sole for toddlers and they actually stay on his feet unlike some others we've tried.
I think the most I spent on a pair of shoes for the kids yet was $50. I was desperate for a pair of shoes that fit DS's thick feet and bought the first pair that fit after about a month of looking. When the kids start destroying their shoes be
I spend about $40ish on sneakers and $20-40 on sandals. I usually buy Puma, Adidas or DC shoes. Most of DD's sandals are Stride Rite, Keen, Pediped Flex or the saltwater sandals from Nordstrom. I don't mind spending a little more since the more expensive
The most I've spent is about $80-$90. Typically it's around $25 per pair, but we have lots of discount places around here (and lots of sales) and my BFF works for Nordstrom.......

$150 is the most I've spent I think.
Her shoes run in the 60-$100 range, with her summer sandals being cheaper around $40-$50.

I'm willing to pay about $50.00 for something she'll wear often (tennis shoes, barn boots).

Right now he has a pair of stride rite tennis shoes ($50) and a pair of nicer brown shoes for dressy outfits and for church ( $30). Thats all.
In the summer he had sandals and crocs.

The sneakers they have now are about $40. They each have one pair and that's it, so I don't feel bad spending that much on a pair.
OP, if your younger kid can wear them as hand-me-downs, you'll get a lot of use out of them.
