It's fear mongering. I said the same thing when Consumer Reports published the article about As in apple juice. It's a naturally occurring element, and some plants take up more than others. As long as your kid's diet is not 100% rice
All this talk about arsenic in rice is very interesting to me. As an Asian I grew up eating rice EVERYDAY, 2-3x/day even. I still eat rice at least 3x/week. Maybe I have arsenic poisoning.
I'm completely gluten free and pretty much dairy free so rice / rice products are a large portion of what I eat daily...unless it takes years to be poisoned I think I'm fine and will continue to give my DS rice products and DD when she's old enough...
