My daughter has had a nasty diaper rash for about two weeks. It actually was a yeast infection but we cleared that up and are now left with the red irritation of the regular diaper rash. We've used Desitin Maximum Strength and Rapid Relief and AD, but it doesn't seem to be getting much better. My son never had this level of rash issue and was always fine with Desitin. Can you recommend your diaper cream of choice? We did use Lotrimin to clear up the yeast infection as per pediatrician's advice, but it just took out the infection. Rash is still there, just not the associated blistering. TIA!!!
I have had the best luck with Green people Organic babies Nappy cream baby balm. You can find it on Amszon for 15. I have used this on my LO since birth a couple times a day. We put it on at night and after any big poos. It has prevented many nappy rashes and fixed one within a day. Incredible stuff!
My kids have super sensitive skin. I can't use any white cream on them. We use breastmilk, A&D and coconut oil. Breastmilk and then letting them air out works quickest for me. Then coconut or A&D at every diaper chabge
For O, we made sure his butt was completely dry before putting anything on it. After wiping him off, we run a tissue on him to absorb any moisture. Once dry, we put the cream on. To get rid of his rash we actually alternated Desitin and aquaphor, and since it cleared up I have taken to using aquaphor instead of Desitin. We haven't had a rash since!
Desitin always seems to work for us, so I'm sorry I don't have a better answer..however once you find something that works use a&d and it will do an awesome job at preventing diaper rash.

I like puremedy baby salve I got it locally at pcc.. I've seen their products at whole foods and on amazon. I've ordered directly from the website too. We fought diaper rash for nine weeks and figured out it was allergy to the diapers but no other cream worked. Other ma ma s since have used it on my rec and reported great results. It is coconut oil based so I'd use that too
