My all time favorites are Lucky. I don't mind paying more for jeans I love, but it just so happens that Lucky are kind of in the middle - around $100 a pair I think
ETA - also I am on their email list and get 20% off coupons and free shipping frequently
My fossils are by far my favorite. I have an ok pair of Lucky Brand, but they don't sit up high enough on my butt when I sit down and it's SO annoying, especially since I sit on the floor a LOT with DS.

I found some jeans I love at JCP. The brand is A.N.A or A New Approach. They are very comfortable and they had a bunch of different styles when I purchased mine. I think I paid $30 for them.
If you're looking for low cost, I'd go with old navy.
Unless you want crap I would avoid Old Navy. They might be cheap but they fit horribly. I have had good luck with Levi's. You can sometimes find them on sale, but the most you'll pay is probably around $50.
I haven't personally tried them, but I hear raves about Kut From the Kloth jeans. They are available at Macy's and are around $50 I think
These look terrible on me as do Not Your Daughter's Jeans.
I love my OLD Rock & Republics (NOT the ones now that they sell at Kohl's - those are NOT the same), Joe's Jeans and Paige Premium Denim. I don't look good in 7's.
My cheaper jeans are Vigoss and Express.
I don't like Gap or Old Navy at all. They stretch way too much. And their fit varies so much even within the same line.
Everything depends on your body type though. Some jeans look good on certain body types and bad on others. You need to try them all on and see what's flattering.

I'm sure this depends on your body frame and what not?
Old Navy are some of the few jeans that actually fit me great. I'm short with a few extra pounds, they fit me 100% perfectly.
Denim is something in which you truly get what you pay for. My higher priced ones fit better and last longer. I prefer to make the investment up front rather than replacing them a lot.

Very true, My favorite jeans ever were by Banana Republic and they were awesome for about 4 years, then they went to hell when they changed the fabric. It totally bummed me out because they were the perfect jeans, same price, cheaper fabric. Still truly bummed about the fact they changed.
Blessed with double the love. C and J born May 2013

I am still trying to lose some baby weight, so I tried the Old Navy diva skinny jeans recently, and DH really likes how they look on my butt. And really, that's all that matters. : )
Silver jeans are my absolute favorite. While I figure out what my body is doing post pregnancy I plan to pick up some jeans from Old Navy and/or American Eagle because they fit well for the price.

I recently found two pairs on sale at White House Black Market for $50 that I love. I HATE Old Navy jeans. They always look fine in the store, but after being washed are terrible. If you have a outlet nearby, you can get Joe's Jeans for $75 on sale.
I'm wearing Old Navy for now. They are having a big jean sale ($19). I just had a baby and don't want to spend a bunch on jeans while I'm losing weight. The Sweetheart and Flirt styles work pretty well for my postpartum body, and I like their skinny jeans with my boots.
Once I get down to my goal weight, I'll spurge on premium denim.
This is where I am right now. I kind of hate Old Navy jeans, but i don't want to spend $100 on jeans when i don't want to stay this size!

They fit me perfectly as well. Jeans are the one thing I don't spend money on. Isn't that funny? The whole thread is people talking about spending lots on denim, and I (of the spoiled biitch Kates) want to spend the least amount possible!
I have been wearing Lucky Brand for almost 10 years. I now work there part time. I love their jeans! As someone else said sign up for emails and you get 20% off. Right now email customers have been getting a $25 off coupon too.
Have you thought about looking at a resale shop? I would rather buy used good jeans than buy crap cheap jeans. Old Navy are not good for me either. I have also worn Gap but recently haven't had much luck. As someone else said they stretch so much.
American Eagle is made for teenagers.
Where ever you go listen to the sales person and if they say they stretch buy them tight. No one needs dumpy butt.

Try the Sophia fit. They are higher waist and even higher in the back.

I used to not spend money on jeans then a couple of years ago when DH got. Nice bonus I bought a pair. I can honestly tell you once you go high end for jeans you will never go back. There is a massive difference in their fit, wear, and quality.

agree with this. I wear True Religion and I have a pair of Fossil that I like when chasing my boys during the day.
If you're looking for low cost, I'd go with old navy.
I used to LOVE their boyfriend Jeans
]I truly believe that quality denim is worth it[ Agreed!!
J Brand; I love them.
Gap is my go to for inexpensive denim. They have some cute styles out now too

Kut - They are awesome.

I love my 7's, BKE and Express jeans. I have a hard time finding jeans that I love and are comfortable.

It all depends on your body type. Some jeans are cut straighter, while others are more curvy through the hips.
I wore pretty much all Big Star jeans before DS, but my hips have spread and they don't fit me right anymore
BKE fits me nicely and so do Lucky Brand. I have a pair of Levi's that are decent and a couple pairs of Gap that I like just OK.
I am still trying to lose some baby weight, so I tried the Old Navy diva skinny jeans recently, and DH really likes how they look on my butt. And really, that's all that matters. : )
