Just got off the phone with a new client named Mera... I kinda like it! Is it legit? Thoughts?

I like both, but I'd spell them Mara or Mira.

Mira, spelled this way, means "admirable" in Latin.

My search for Mera linked it to a possible nn for Meredith.

Meara, is Irish, meaning "pool or lake".

I like it! I agree with it seeming like a nick name for Meredith, but I think it would sound fine as a stand alone name.

I dunno- depends on pronunciation. I'd prounce these 3 similar names:

Mera- mair-uh

Mira- meer-uh

Mara- mar-uh

To me, Mera is not a legit name. I prefer Mira or Mara. Even Moira.

I have a friend Meranda and everyone calls her Mera. NMS, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

I like Mira. I would pronounce Mera as mer (like mermaid)-uh.
