So with DS#1 we discovered overnight diapers when he was about 6 months old as he'd started leaking at night with regular diapers. Now I'm wondering how early I can start overnight diapers with DD. It seems it'd be wonderful to not have to change a diaper several times a night (as long as it's only urine). However I'm worried that if the urine isn't wicked away enough she'll get a rash. What was the earliest you started on overnight diapers? Sure I'd love to start from the beginning but I feel like I should wait at least a month, & was wondering what your experience was. TIA!!
Right but I mean instead of changing & feeding together, how soon can I get away with only doing a feeding b/c I'd be using an overnight diaper which would eliminate nighttime diaper changes. Ah, one less thing in the middle of the night would be so nice. p.s. I hope all's going well with your new baby!
I change them every time they wake up, so I never needed an overnight dipe until they STTN
This for me too.
Same here too. Takes only a minute and the baby isn't sleeping in a wet diaper (regardless of whether the moisture is being wicked away, that's gross to me).
It's a good idea in theory...but I think you'll find the problem is most overnight diapers start at a size 3. So you probably won't be able to find any to fit a newborn.

I never wake a sleeping baby so I only changed my newborns if they were awake during the night or if they pooped. I never had a rash and I never had soaking wet diapers and I just used regular diapers.

This. Plus changing DD helps to wake her up enough so that she gets a full feeding at night and sleep for longer stretches.
