I can't choose. I dislike Sedge and Saxon is the name of a people (the Saxons from the German region of Saxony and the Anglo-Saxons that emigrated from Germany to Britain), so I wouldn't go there.
I guess Saxon if I need to choose from the two put a atleast semi normal mn so he could use it later on life if he chooses to do so also you may like Axton which is a little better IMO or Axel or Sage or I like Alexavier and it's a little different but still beautiful and strong but he could go by Sax if you named him Saxon

This! I think they are both pretty bad! Sedge looks made up and although Saxon is legit, it just looks like you're trying too hard to be unique!

Sedge reminds me too much of Sledge, and I can't see Saxon without thinking of "Anglo-saxon."
What about Serge or Sutton?
I don't say this very often but neither sound good to me.
Do you have any other names you are looking at?
ditto.
Sedge reminds me of hedge or sledge and Saxon...like Anglo Saxon? No.

How about Silas, Sullivan or Salvador?
