TTC after 35

Preseed?

A 40 yr old co-worker of mine just told me about this. She's pregnant with #1. She had been trying for a year and 1/2 & hadn't been to an RE yet, but a friend told her to try pre-seed & she got pregnant that cycle.  I guess it's available at CVS. Have any of you used it? Somehow I've never heard about it but I'm going to add this to the recipe this month!
Me: 42, DH: 43. We are so grateful to have a 2yr old daughter, conceived naturally after 3 miscarriages & no treatments (our Dr. gave us 1 more month to try on our own before advacing to IVF, & we conceived her naturally in January 2010)! Trying since April 2011 without sucess....MD said we were both "fine" & that if it wasn't happening, it was a chromosomal issue. Finally started Follistim 225mcg injections with an Ovidrel trigger November 2012. Bleeding 11 days post Ovidrel on November 25th. Starting the whole lab/Ultrasound/Follistim cycle again on November 27th...

Re: Preseed?

  • We've used it, but we've also had IUI cycles, so can't tell you if it "works" or not.  If you get it, keep in mind that a little goes a super long way!  GL!!

  • Yes a little goes a long way! I have used because I was never sure if I had enough cm on my own, not sure what the "right" amount should be!! but its better than saliva and any other lubricant all which can kill sperm.

    This!!!

Me 39 & suspected PCOS, DH 42. Went off BCP when we got married in 11/11, seriously TTC since 3/12.  Six cycles of clomid = BFNs.  Suspected endometriosis & HSG showed both tubes blocked.  Sept 2013 IVF 5D transfer of two perfect embryos = BFN.  Started acupuncture and taking time off to drop some pounds & get healthier before FET in April 2014.
  • We use it, just because sometimes I need a little help and it is safe. I was using the plunger before, but now I just use my hand and only apply it externally. A little goes a very long way.
    Me:37 DH:40 Married 7/2009 TTC since 5/2012
BFP 4/2013, Our Christmas Miracle Due 12/18/2013
  • We've used it.  It's basically a sperm-friendly lubricant. There's nothing magic about it that will help you get pregnant, but it doesn't hurt.
