So I lay on my right side and after about an hour, my hip feels excrutiating, then I flip over (a process of it's own) and lay on my left side-- after an hour it feels on fire too.
Yup. Between hip pain and rib pain I barely get any sleep. I take a really really hot bath before bed to try to ease the pain and it seems to help for a little bit. Kind of. I even sometimes take one at like 4am if it's really bad and I can't sleep.
Yes, here too. I just figured it's one of those pregnancy things where when you just start to get used to it, it changes. Pretty sure we are all going to keep getting sore if we don't try to open our hips for a good solid stretching a few times a day. Baths, pillows, heat and rubs help. Doesn't hurt to ask for a nice rub right before bed, even if its for five minutes.Good luck and if anyone finds any other relief please post!
I've been having this for a couple weeks now too! Hate to break it to you ladies...but there is only one cure, and that would be giving birth! lol! It's a good sign though! Our ligaments are loosening and stretching making room for our LO's to come join us on the outside!! YAY!

Me too! Sometimes I have my husband massage my hips to kind of ease the pain, but overall, it only helps for a while. My current sleep pattern is: lay on one side, wake up to pee, discover my hip is killing me, switch sides, repeat every two hours or so.
So much fun :-) My little girl can come anytime she wants. Of course at that point I'll be replacing one type of sleep deprivation for another. The plus side is that I'll have a baby to cuddle with.
Yupp. I also get up every 1-2 hours to pee by basically rolling off the bed and praying I land on my feet. I take a couple Tylenol at bedtime and again around 3-4 am but this only mildly helps. I get dh to massage them but he just doesn't do it right. I'm going for a massage at the spa on Tuesday and I'm pretty much counting the hours...
Yep, me too. I stick a pillow lengthwise between my legs when I go to bed. It doesn't get rid of the pain completely, but I think it might help reduce it.
It's awful isn't it? I've had it since I was 4 mos pregnant! Usually I'd just prop pillows and sleep in an almost upright position but now it's extended into my lower back and butt so no position helps. Not much longer now though!
Re: Hip pain at night...anyone?
...and then there's that too.
absolutely, i get the same exact thing.
I was surprised at how much it hurts. a heated blanket helps me a little bit, but not really...
