So my NT scan didn't go so well a couple of weeks ago. I was dehydrated from m/s, and despite drinking lots that morning, my bladder was empty. They couldn't get a good scan of the neck, at all.
We weren't going to get anything further done, and I just really wanted the NT just for a better ultrasound. But, the MFM doc talked me into the MaterniT21 test. I thought about it for a while, and decided to do it. Mainly because I start teaching a course in March, when I will be 20 weeks. So, I didn't want to be in the middle of the first week of lectures and get bad news that we could have known about earlier.
Anyway... tested negative for Down's, Trisomy 13 & Trisomy 18! And I was sooooo tempted to find out the sex. But we are team green 
I am so relieved (at least for the moment!)

(And if it's any consolation, they couldn't determine the sex from mine, so just pretend your doctor didn't know it!)
We lost our first (EDD 07/23/12) after finding out at 12 weeks there was no longer a heartbeat. Our rainbow was born 05/22/13 and was worth all we went through.

Congrats! We are having the MaterniT21 test done on Wednesday and I'm so nervous about the results since our last loss was due to Trisomy 21.
How long did it take you to get the results?

Thanks, ladies! I can't believe I had the restraint to say "we don't want to know the sex" immediately!
The nurse was funny and once she said everything was negative, she said "and I know what you are having!!"
11 days. With the MLK holiday thrown in. And the MFM office is closed on Fridays, so they may have been ready earlier. I think they told me between 10-14 days.

Thanks! Gah. 11 days. And I thought the 3 days for the CVS test results last time around were gut wrenching :-/ I'm going to have to take up a bunch of new hobbies to get my mind off things.

I didn't think much about it until last Thursday or Friday. I think I was nervous this weekend. And had a colleague in my office when the call came. The message was from the nurse. I figured if it was bad, the doctor would have called or they would have said to return the call to the doctor. And I know he's not at that office on Monday's. So... That eased my mind a bit!!
