I got a cute pair of pants from the gap, he will wear those and the side snap tee provided by the hospital. Plus a knit hat made by my mom. Simple is best in my opinion.
Mobile, sorry not clicky. H found this and HAD to get it. I got the matching blanket as well.
If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.-Douglas Adams
Just a heads up onesie aren't great for newborns. They annoy the cord stump. You can easily leave the snaps undone though and it wont agitate. We are going with a neutral sleeper. My first came home in the hospital tee and diaper with lots of blankets. Baha.
Both my other boys came home in onesies and they were fine.
Im a FTM but I would think that a onsie would be fine also. I feel like pants and shirt would rub/irritate the cord more.

similar to this: https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1162098/chaps-ruffled-floral-creeper-baby.jsp
but it has long sleeves and long pant legs.
The Kohls Chaps line is so cute!
A Zutano kimono top. Great for the umbilical cord, and their prints and clothing are seriously the cutest ever!
Very durable too!
Every one of my babies has come home in Zutano.
