Hi all,
I've been reading the funny old wive's tales about predicting the gender based on the baby's heart rate--we just had our 12 week appt. today, and the rate was 164. Obviously this is NOT a scientific way to know (only via ultrasound), but it's fun to muse about. Based on this, we might just be having a girl! Anyone else?
Re: Gender prediction based on heart beat... just for fun!
on Monday ours was 181bpm, but I still think it is going to be a boy! My Grandma and Mom separately have both told me that their Dr. was wrong every time based on heartbeat. Personally, I am hoping I follow the family pattern. Team green though so it is going to be a while...and of course I will be blessed with either!!!
This one was 161. Guess we will see in around 10ish weeks.

DS's heart rate was always 160-170s until after 20 weeks. It then went in the 140-150 range. So, I guess it was right for us too.
It's got a 50/50 chance, right?
Today at 10w, hb was 167, so currently looking at a girl between this and chinese gender predictor (squeaked in there on the last day of the month!), but cravings and m/s are totally the opposite this time for the most part. DD was up in this hb range for the whole pregnancy, if I remember correctly.
Does anyone know at one point it is considered a fairly accurate/consistent hr? I know up until a certain point, the hb tends to be high for both boys and girls and then it "regulates" to the range it will be. I am just curious when that generally is.
