My baby is here!

Hey all,

I have been MIA for a while from the boards. Well, I can tell you my life has been crazy... and my little baby Girl, Julianne, was due February 7 but decided to be born on December 5! she was 9 weeks early. Basically my placenta detached (abrupto placenta- i think is what its called). They couldnt get bleeding to stop and I was 3 cm dialated and 100% effaced. I had an emergency csection, and she has been in the NICU ever since. I am excited to announce that tomorrow (6 weeks to the day she was born) she is coming home!!! She is healthy. Weighed 3 lb at birth and now 5 lb. Just thought Id share the exciting news!

Congrats! and kudos to your medical team. Placenta abruption has the potential to turn out really tragic for both mom and baby. So happy for your little miracle!!

Congrats, bringing baby home is an amazing feeling! I'm glad everyone is doing good!
We were in a continual care nursery like a NICU step up for 10 days those nurses and docs that do that type of care are amazing people!

Congratulations on your little girl! I'm glad to hear that she's doing so well and will get to come home soon. I don't know if you've been over to the preemie board yet, but they're a great place for advice, support, and commiseration when people just don't understand how preemies are different from full term babies even after they're released from the NICU! I wish you all the best!
