  Will you explain how Instagram works and what is POTD? Is this just to post pictures? I am so out of the loop on this stuff.

  Yes, it's just to post pictures. If people have your username they can follow you. October 2012 Mamas have their own hash tag and when searching that hash tag you can see all the October babies! POTD is Picture of the Day. It's a themed picture that helps your followers get to know you better. You can have your account locked so people have to request permission to follow you.
